Possesses complete technical competence on building automation systems, and responsible for on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of JCI, and multi-vendor systems and solutions. This includes competency on hardware, software, and networking products as well as operating systems. Must also be able to resolve, or guide others through very complex problem resolution. Provides consultant level services for the customer related to building automation systems and ensures ultimate customer satisfaction levels with assigned customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Understands mission critical facilities, and proactively recognizes and responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruptions of customer' business.
Provides solutions to very complex system problems by either troubleshooting the system, or advising others on how to resolve problems. Requires thorough understanding of systems software and ability to write or recommend modifications to programs as needed.
Conducts on-going intense self study (reading, research, practice) to maintain the highest technical proficiency in the company's product lines.
Provides training and development for other system representatives and customers including conducting formal training sessions.
Escalation point and mentor for lower level system representatives.
Serves as an internal resource on technical issues, and viewed as an expert in given fields by both employees and customers.
Assists engineering and sales by providing technical recommendations to produce job layouts and bid proposals.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Participates on Account Teams, and provides solutions to the Account Team and customer for highly technical issues.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field or equivalent. Minimum of ten years directly related work experience. Able to act independently and to coordinate the work of other employees and contractors on a customer site. Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts. Able to explain technical information to non-technical people. Achieved the highest level of certification on at least four different product lines; Lagacy, Metasys, Metasys EA, Fire Systems, Security Systems, or third party integration.
