Shft: NightsJob Description:Operates high-pressure boilers. Operates chillers and absorbers. Compiles water treatment reports. Performs maintenance on boilers, chillers, pumps, steam pipes, and related machinery. Operates automated building control computer and makes corrections as required. Operates/adjusts air handling equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on kitchen and laundry equipment. Performs routine inspections of mechanical rooms.Experience: Two years general building experience. Two years boiler operation.Education/Licensure: High school graduate or equivalent. Steam plant third grade engineers course (NAPE).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Job requires continuous reading skills, and verbal communication skills. Job requires frequent written communication skills. Skill working on boilers, electricity, and pneumatic systems required. Skilled in water chemistry treatment, skill reading/interpreting blueprints and technical manuals, mechanical aptitude is high.
