Sponsorship Account Executive - Sports Facility

www.WorkInSports.com, the #1 Job Board in the Sports Industry, is currently assisting a Washington-based Sports Facility to hire a Sponsorship Account Executive.

Primary responsibility to sell small Sponsorship packages along with ancillary inventory pertaining to packages. Also assists VP of Sponsorship Services in servicing and fulfilling corporate Sponsorship agreements while becoming an integral part of professional team’s corporate sales and marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities may include the following:

• Serves as daily contact with Sponsors to fulfill Sponsorship requirements;
• Hosts current and new prospective patrons/clients at events.
• Coordinates the successful printing, installation and replacement of concourse signage;
• Coordinates and reviews press releases for affiliations and Sponsorship announcements with Arena (i.e. vendors, contractors, publications);
• Approves creative copy of Sponsorships and reviews Newsletter as it relates to Sponsorship agreements only;
• Assists in coordinating special events and gifts for sponsors,
• Creates, processes, records and submits purchase requisitions/orders for sponsors/department;
• Performs necessary administrative functions to support the Vice President of Corporate Sales;
• Assists with creating power point presentations to potential clients and preparation of financial reports;
• Maintains Sponsor contact information and updates Sponsor information on AAC website;

Experience/Education:

- Associates Degree (A.A.) in Business, Sales or Marketing Communications required;
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) preferred;
- Must have 1 to 2 years experience in Sales; Sports marketing/sales preferred; and/or related fields of media, radio, TV, or entertainment property sales
- Excellent communication and Customer Service skills
- Strong skill usage with Microsoft Excel in formulation of sales spreadsheets, charts and reports
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and market graphics pertaining to advertising and website usage.
- Good basic knowledge of math; usage of formulas, calculations, percentages and commissions.
- Required to work events and must be flexible to work all shifts in a 24/7 facility; including weekends, evenings and holidays.
