Job Description: SUMMARY: The Integrated Planning Manager has exposure across Manugistics Demand and Supply modules. Responsibilities include:
1. Assist in the design of new Demand and/or Supply planning solutions for new Business units and identify functional enhancements for existing Business units and associated planners
2. Configure, test and integrate Manugistics supporting modules with other legacy application (as necessary)
3. Create, coordinate, and conduct training for Tyson business units and facility teams, to ensure a successful implementation and understanding of planning systems
4. Assist the Information Management and technology teams in defining and testing of planning system requirements.
5. Work toward becoming Tyson's internal Demand Planning and/or Supply Planning expert, and develop Tyson's key associates in the use of Demand. This position will assist in process and technology enablement that will support Tyson's Sales & Operations Planning Process. These efforts will be the foundation of establishing successful visibility of Demand and Supply Balance positions. This position will work closely with Demand Planners and Production Planning Managers. It is expected that the candidate would eventually gain expertise needed to make themselves available for a role in Production Planning or Advanced Planning Software Design.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Experience: 2+ years experience in a related field preferred.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of advanced computer skills, including an understanding of programming efforts. Actual computer skills utilized will include Microsoft Access, advanced Excel, and various query tools like Cognos, Tyson legacy systems and Manugistics.

Special Skills: Must be highly organized, must possess numerical reasoning skills, must be analytical, and able to solve complex problems Special Skill: Highly effective communications skills: an ability to motivate and inspire cooperation, as well as instruct and teach. An energetic interest in learning, and in 'growing the position". Ability to network with Tyson's sales and marketing associates. Understanding of how collaboration leads to better demand planning. Proficiency with sophisticated financial / statistical concepts in the personnel out of fire fighting roles into analytical change agent roles.

Travel: 3-4 domestic trips per year
