We have IMMEDIATE NEED for a qualified Service Engineer in Atlanta, GA.Position PurposeResponsible for performing HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and minor electrical repair and maintenance services for multiple locations within a geographic area or facility.Job Duties:Perform assignments in the installation, repair, alteration and maintenance of facility systems, including HVAC, carpentry, plumbing and minor electrical to include both preventive and corrective maintenance tasksReport and communicate on a daily basis all work activity via PDA devices or paperworkAssess and diagnose required repairs, both for estimated cost and vendor responsibility – escalation requirements and vendor responsibility are dictated by each client and may differProcure all material in a timely manner to meet client service level agreements for scheduled completion datesPossess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenanceRespond immediately to emergency situations and customer concernsPerform all work to industry standards and maintain a professional manner and appearance at all timesComply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Job Requirements Include:
High School Diploma or GED equivalentFamiliarity with building-related trade skillsTechnical, vocational or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair OR any similar combination of education and experience
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record with periodic checksProven record of providing excellent internal and external customer serviceExcellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communicationsBackground checks may be required by clientMay be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments); may require shift work and/or on call dutiesPhysical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting devicesPossess and maintain a universal CFC certificationPossess and maintain all required local, state or jurisdictional licenses and/or permits required to perform the above work
