Under specific direction, performs preventive maintenance inspections on mechanical, electrical and automatic temperature control equipment to ensure continuing operation.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Inspects mechanical equipment such as cooling towers, cooling units and filters.

Performs routine tasks such as cleaning and oiling cooling units, cleaning coils in cooling towers, changing belts and lubricating equipment.

Monitors equipment operations through walking tours. Reports any alarms representing failure of systems.

Performs low voltage wiring tasks (e.g. installation of door switches, nurse call stations) and performs regular maintenance checks. Pulls cable and wire according to specifications.

Performs general branch maintenance.

OTHER DUTIES:

May perform service calls on equipment unrelated to HVAC, Controls, or ATC (e.g. restaurant equipment).

Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent education.
