Secutiry Guard

Position Summary:
The position of Security Guard is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for the staff and residents. The position must function as both a team member, team leader, and supervisor to ensure that work is accomplished and quality care is delivered, supporting team members and leading the way in celebrating team successes. This position must also manage the resources within their control and assist others in managing resources.

Responsibilities:
OVERSEE AND PROVIDE FOR THE SAFETY, SECURITY AND WELL BEING OF THE FACILITY, GUESTS, RESIDENTS AND EMPLOYEES.
•Conduct security rounds daily inside and outside the facility.
•Ensure that the necessary doors are locked.
•Escort employees to automobiles.
•Provide transportation for employees using the company caravan.
•Report any suspicious activity to the appropriate persons and/or authorities at once.
MAINTAIN AND WORK WITHIN ESTABLISHED DEPARTMENTAL AND HOME OFFICE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, OBJECTIVES, QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, AND SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL AND INFECTION CONTROL STANDARDS.
•Ensure care provided is in accordance with applicable standards of practice, state practice acts and State and Federal regulations.
•Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
PARTICIPATE IN AND PROVIDE SCHEDULED TRAINING, EDUCATIONAL CLASSES, AND ORIENTATION PROGRAMS TO MAINTAIN KNOWLEDGE OF TEAM MEMBERS AND ENHANCE QUALITY OF CARE.
•Attend any mandatory meetings as required by your center.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
•Must have a clean driving record in the State of Ohio.
•Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
•Must be able to deal tactfully with team members, other staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
