SAFETY & SECURITY MANAGER – ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA
SOC Enterprises is a non-profit corporation, offering employment and rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities, in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We operate ten administrative service contracts for federal government agencies, a Fulfillment Center, as well as a printing, bindery and mailing operation at our main headquarters.
SOC has responsibility for security and safety in four large facilities that are owned or leased. We are recruiting a Safety & Security Manager to oversee the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment, as well as SOC’s property protection and security programs.
This position reports to the Director of Operations. Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains and formulates new safety policies and procedures in compliance with all required rules, regulations and lawsMaintains a knowledge base on industrial and Federal Government security requirements.Coordination and follow through of background checks and obtaining security clearances for SOC personnelInspects and tours SOC facilities to detect existing or potential safety and health hazards, security deficiencies and recommends corrective or preventive measures where indicatedOversees the investigation of accidents and injuries and compiles and submits reports as requiredConfers with Executive Management to formulate policies, determine need for safety and security programs and coordinate programs in conjunction with SOC’s activitiesProvides supervisory coverage at off-site locations on as needed basis Relocation expenses are not available for this position.
