SS Commodity Manager - Production & Facilities

Overview: Baker Hughes Business Support Services is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Commodity Manager. This position will be located at 15355 Vantage Parkway, Houston, Texas. Baker Hughes Business Support Services (BHBSS) provides high quality, value to the organization. This position will primarily support the production and facilities commodities. This position works in a team environment; will lead Strategic Sourcing Commodity teams; will facilitate part-time teams of cross-divisional advisory board members; and will be responsible for the development and management of preferred supplier relationships and programs. Provides leadership to Commodity Advisory Boards and Team members in the enterprise-wide management of sourcing and purchases of production related, MRO (maintenance, repair, and operating), facilities, and utilities products and services; ensures Baker Hughes sourcing methodology is utilized. Manages all commodity teams projects. Develops contracts and manages all commodity contracts. Serves as the primary contact with BHI's suppliers and the Advisory Boards in establishing agreements including: strategic enterprise wide negotiation of pricing and services which leverage Baker Hughes purchasing power, monitoring contract compliance, capturing benefits associates with those agreements, tracking/resolving high-level issues, and ensuring continuous improvement. Re-evaluates current agreements. Implements programs and related technology. Maintains thorough knowledge of commodity areas and industry knowledge, including knowledge of supply chain and supplier integration. Budgets and plans for the commodity team. REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of engineering or manufacturing involving any of the following product categories: packaging, fasteners, elastomers, carbide, chemicals. Required skills: analytical, SAP, project management, change leadership, negotiation, facilitations, and presentation are preferred. Working knowledge of supply chain operations is a plus. Willingness to travel 10-20% of time.
