SLAHP Lead Custodian - # 92

Maintain a daily schedule of assigned tasks such as completing work orders for equipment/set up for meetings and events; performing shipping and receiving at the administrative office
Drive company van as needed to retrieve and deliver materials to WIC sites, LA BioMed and outside vendors
Move office furniture as needed at the administrative office and WIC sites
Complete minor repairs as needed at all WIC sites including the administrative office
Purchases food and beverages for meetings and events as well as miscellaneous supplies for WIC sites and administrative office
Provide routine custodial responsibilities at WIC sites in absence of site custodian
Overtime is a condition of employment and may be required based on the needs of the Institute
Must be willing to work flexible hours
Responsible for other tasks as may be required for efficient operation of the department
REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate, GED, or equivalent. Minimum of one-year of experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control, general maintenance and/or custodial work and experience working with WIC. Knowledge of basic maintenance and custodial services and equipment. Demonstrate interest and ability to work with WIC's target population group and ability to be self-motivated and to occasionally work independently without close supervision.
Sensitive to and respect for the cultural diversity and bias of the target population. Requires personal vehicle, valid California driver's license and proof of current auto insurance for delivery and pick-up of materials internally and with outside sources. Proficient English communication skills. Available to work dependable, flexible shift.
