Working under the general supervision of Program Director and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, coordinate all aspects of the Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery Residency Program.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Responsible for the coordination of the Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery Residency Program:
a. Compilation of Data
b. Prepare resident handbooks
c. Act as a liaison with all plastic surgery chiefs
d. Serve as primary contact for applicants
e. Organize resident interviews
f. Coordinate and prepare for Residency Review Committee (RCC) visits
g. Correspond with external organizations such as the ACGME, RCC, PSEF and ABPS
h. Conduct outcomes research regarding applicants2. Manage the office operation of the Harvard Combines Plastic Surgery Residency Program:
a. Maintain data and logs of resident records
b. Organize Executive Committee meetings
c. Coordinate conference and teaching schedules
d. Day to day operations3. Oversee financial aspects of the Harvard Combined Plastics Surgery Residency Program
a. Prepare budgets, monitor expenses and maintain records4. Coordinate resident credentialing and other related activities:
a. Credential all current and future residents at participating institutions
b. Assist in the preparation of affiliation agreements
c. Coordinate visits by medical students
d. Serve as a liaison between the program and physician services and other hospital department
e. Act as a resource to residents
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree and/or advanced degree preferred.
Healthcare and/or Education experience desiredSKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPENTENCIES REQUIRED:
Excellent organizational skills
Extremely detail oriented
Financial management/budgeting experience
Sound degree of computer literacy
Ability to methodically record data and to analyze data
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
