Refinery / Chemical Plant Operations Training SpecialistIn this position you will translate P&IDs, PFDs and other technical information into user-friendly training or reference material. You will be responsible for writing and producing operations training manuals, operating and maintenance procedures, and other process related training materials. REQUIREMENTS
Work Experience
At least 2 years experience in developing and producing innovative technical training manuals and materials for employees as well as interfacing with client subject matter experts for data gathering and managing large volumes of client information.Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Strong mechanical and analytical problem-solving skills in operations or maintenance functions in the energy, petroleum/chemical or air products industryFamiliarity with Reactors, Distillation Columns, Fired Heaters, Compressors, Exchangers, Turbines, Pumps, Boilers and other related equipment.A solid understanding of PLCs and DCS systems is a plus.
Strong writing and grammar skills as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (45 wpm)
Solid interpersonal communication skills for interviewing and interacting with client subject matter experts.
Ability to work in a team environmentAdept at working under tight deadlines
Editing for grammar and punctuation a plus. VISIO experience required.Educational Requirements:
Prefer Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years experience or an associates degree and at least 6 years direct experience in the Process Technology Industry.Other:
