ROTATING SHIFT ELECTRICIAN

Lehigh Cement Company’s North Division has a vacancy for a Rotating Shift Electrician at its Evansville, PA plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist PCO in efficient operation of plant equipment by doing preventative maintenance and repair work on shift.
Assist PCO in correcting operational problems and/or correct problems found during inspection. Also assist on any repair (electrical/repair) for which people are called out.
Perform inspection rounds to insure equipment is operating properly.
General understanding of material flow/process and of plant equipment. Understand the safety and process factors involved working with/on operating equipment.
Perform scheduled lubrication/greasing.
Contribute to a safe work place and be knowledgeable of safety rules and regulations.
Inform the Shift Supervisor of any repairs/corrections to be made through job requisition system (JR’s).
Complete a record of inspections for repairs and follow sequence/frequency of inspections recommended for mechanical/electrical repairs.
Knowledge of storehouse and ability to charge, reorder materials and keep maintenance/electric repairs.
Make a continued effort to improve skills of electrical and mechanical maintenance. Have access to manuals and drawings and use these materials to improve job skills.
Report any environmental or personal hazards.
Recommend maintenance/electrical improvements to the supervisor.
Maintain an orderly work place and care for tools and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 2 years electrical/electronic experience in the maintenance of electrical power systems.
High power transmission and distribution, 69KV to 4160 volts.
Minimum 2 years experience in heavy industry.
Medium and low voltage motor and controls knowledge.
Knowledge of analog and digital control systems including PLCs and DCSs.
An understanding of process control systems.
Ability to communicate effectively and interact as a team member in a Total Quality environment.
