Quality/Safety Technician - Facilities maintenance

Quality/Safety TechnicianLB&B Associates Inc. is seeking a qualified self starter for Quality/Safety position in the Yorktown, VA area.
OSHA, EPA and company established Quality/Safety standards, the Quality/Safety manager conducts inspections to ensure compliance. Responsible for accident prevention, inspections, investigations and all associated documentation and reporting involved. Cooperate with USCG Environmental Engineer, Fire/Safety Officer and Quality Assurance Engineers. Involvement with maintenance personnel for issue of Hot Work Permits, Confined Space Permits and monitoring. Monitors Underground Utility Marking, Maintains Lockout/Tagout Program. Quality Program consists of 100% inspection of all preventative maintenance work, government work order tasks and IDIQ Projects to include subcontractor work.This is a FT exempt level positions that offers competitive salary and an excellent benefits package. REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this 50 person location, you must have a bachelor's degree and 3+ years in implementing and administering both Quality and Safety programs. Hands-on experience is necessary. Government contracting experience and/or prior active duty military experience is desirable. Utilizing Federal and state occupational safety and health standards, as well as established company standards, the Quality/Safety Technician will be the primary source for ensuring overall compliance.
