QI Facilitator - RN

JOB PURPOSE: Meets regulatory entities’ requirements and Scan standards by managing, executing and coordinating quality improvement activities and projects

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:
Advises management by summarizing data, preparing reports, explaining proposals and counseling managers.

Resolves quality issues by identifying problems, examining solutions options, implementing action plans and providing resources.

Facilitates member satisfaction and resolves issues, by conducting concurrent interventions referred by the QM Grievance nurse or UM Triage staff. Assists member in issue resolutions that are barriers to care or service by intervening with appropriate vendors, practitioners, or others in the healthcare delivery system. Documents activity in the quality management database.

Assists with development of Policies and Procedures by creating and revising Policies and Procedures.

Achieves compliance with various committee activities by coordinating the timely completion and submission of action items to due various committees.

Implements the Quality Improvement process by coordinating, facilitating and/or participating in inter and intradepartmental quality initiatives and work groups.

Monitors internal compliance with policies and procedures by auditing QI departmental activities.

Assists with meeting reporting requirements by collecting required reports timely, analyzing the data, writing reports, submitting and presenting to appropriate entities.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational and/or skills workshops; computer classes.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Facilitate and /or participate in Process Improvement Teams.

Job Requirements



High School graduate required.
Registered Nurse (Current and active California RN license in good standing)
Types 40+ WPM, excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, and in Visio,.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize work assignments.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to complete assignments when due.
