Program Coordinator - Adolescent Residential Facility

The Gateway Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities for residential A&D services, co-facilitating groups and activities as needed and assisting the Services Coordinator as needed in the operations of all Adolescent Alcohol and Drug Residential Services. This position reports to the Adolescent Alcohol and Drug Services Coordinator. The position is also responsible for maintaining the client waiting list and facilitating all client intakes. The position will also be responsible for working cooperatively with the therapists and educational staff and will have final program oversight. i.e., all decisions concerning level changes, home passes, discharge dates, etc. (must be approved by the Services Coordinator).

Job Responsibilities:
•Provide direct supervision for all A&D residential management staff members.
•Conduct weekly treatment team meetings with clinical personnel to review cases, develop treatment plans, make proper referrals and assist staff in providing quality care.
•Coordinate all client psychiatric appointments, court dates, and other appointments as needed.
•Coordinate client staffings and oversee individual program plans.
•Primarily work first shift while doing random “pop in” visits on second and third shifts to provide supervision and ensure quality services.
•Perform intakes and admissions of new residential clients.
•Responsible for all programmatic and unit/floor issues on residential unit.
•Ensure that residential policies and procedures are in compliance with licensure and funding sources (DOH and DCS provider policies)
•Oversee Incident Reporting and crisis management for adolescent residential program.
•Complete progress notes and documentation for all contacts with clients.
•Assist Services Coordinator with training, staff development and program development.
•Responsible for petty cash accounts
•Oversee all scheduling and approve use of PRN
•Oversee disbursement of client allowances or clothing allotments
•Liaison with DCS and other funding sources
•Audit the clinical charts and ensure compliance with contract, license, and CARF standards.
•Participate in the rotating supervisor on-call system.
•Responsible for other duties as assigned by Adolescent A&D Services Coordinator.

Education/Knowledge:
Possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field.

Experience:
Three years of related work experience, at least one of which is in a supervisory capacity.

Skills:
Able to establish professional client boundaries, effectively sets limits with clients, fulfill the job responsibilities and organize all programmatic responsibilities. Able to effectively balance supervisory role with direct service role.
