SENIOR PLANNER / ESTIMATOR / SCHEDULER # 12383
Performs planning, costing and scheduling functions for campus building repair and non-maintenance projects for auxiliary and general-fund work. Responsibilities include preparation of cost estimates for labor and materials, material procurement process from purchase order to inspection, scheduling jobs with the university trade shops, developing line drawings, providing work descriptions for in-house projects, and preparing specifications and plans in accordance with building codes and local requirements.
ARCHITECT / CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIST #12587
Under general supervision, performs duties in the areas of space analysis, planning, programming, design and construction management. Projects typically require a complex mix of issues, including, but not limited to: code compliance, design review, and phasing of construction. Responsible for ensuring projects are consistent with legal and California State University (CSU) mandates, and are conducted in a manner consistent with the core values of SJSU's Administration & Finance Division.
LEAD CUSTODIAN #12497
The Lead Custodian will guide, check, correct and work with a group of Custodians; provide training in use of equipment, supplies, and accepted custodial techniques. In addition, performs the full range of custodial work as needed, assists Custodians in the performance of their duties, makes inspections; assists in the evaluation of subordinates' performance; and may assist in facility arrangements for special events. Minimum 2 years custodial/janitorial experience and a valid CDL required.
CAMPUS SPACE & FACILITY PLANNER #12315
The Campus Space and Facility Planner maintains and manages electronic CADD files and databases related to university facilities, and supports capital and physical planning processes. The position also provides space management and utilization analysis for campus planning efforts and serves as the liaison with the California State University Chancellor's Office on facilities and utilization reporting.
