Plant Operations Manager
Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, Oil & GasFunction: OperationsResponsibilities: * Drive P&L financial results - sales, margin, base/variable cost, cash, and inventory
Direct and coordinate activities of industrial services organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations, and maximize profitability and customer satisfaction
Lead, coach, develop, and motivate a team of shop technicians, project managers, and technical resources
Proactive EHS management and protection of company assets
Rigorous and unyielding controllership
Ensure tight integration with GE Oil & Gas processes, best practices, and remote site management policies
Understand and analyze customer requirements, and ensure organization meets or exceeds those requirements in a compliant manner
Ensure thorough commercial and risk review by appropriate GE representatives
Ensure timely, accurate purchase specifications are provided to vendors and manufacturers. Coordinates all direct material needs with technical services resources and sourcing department
Hold team and customer coordination meetings to monitor internal schedule and job progress, and to validate issues and expectations
Conduct regular margin and backlog reviews
Coordinate as needed with GE and vendor shop operations leaders
Ensure rapid and timely response to technical and commercial queries from customers and shop & field service personnel
Coordinate disposition of all non-conformances to contract requirements. Ensure quality control of all projects
Responsible for the technical control, cost control, schedule, documentation, commercial and change management, quality, and post-project activities
Resolve problems during the warranty period to ensure customer satisfaction
Actively promotes organization in industry, business growth planning, and trade associations
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *Minimum of ten (10) years related experience in oil and gas industry
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in service industry
Prior experience in shop or field service operations management
High technical aptitude
Strong Working Knowledge of compliance, commercial terms, and finance
Experience with job costing, planning, scheduling, and coordination
Experience in supplier coordination
PC with MS office proficiencyDesired: * Bachelor's degree or related field of study or commensurate experience
Solid understanding of GE Oil and Gas business processes and financial metrics
Business experience with GE in oil and gas industry
Proven experience leading project teams
Proven ability to lead and motivate others to accomplish business objectivesGeneral: GE Oil & Gas, Inc is a $100M+ GE Infrastructure business servicing compression and power equipment for the Oil and Gas Industry
