POSITION TITLE: Planning Specialist (4 Positions)
SECURITY CLEARANCE/LEVEL REQUIRED: N/APRIMARY FUNCTION(S)
Responsible for providing planning, training, and technical assistance to FEMA Headquarters, FEMA Regional offices, and States.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Duties include (but are not limited to):(1) Support the Lead Planner in managing the contract financials to ensure required corporate budgeting and financial reporting is maintained.(2) Provide planning, technical, and meeting support to FEMA HQ staff in support of evacuee support planning.(3) Support Senior Planners in their planning and technical assistance requirements in States and FEMA regions.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Degree Requirements: MS/MA in business or management related field. Master’s degree in another field or other graduate degree (e.g., J.D, or Ph.D.) with substantial credits in management-related areas also acceptable. A Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) additional, directly related work experience (over and above the minimum experience requirements for this position) may be substituted for the Masters degree.Relevant Experience (amount and type): Minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in managing numerous, complex, and time-critical support activities simultaneously. Requires expert knowledge of the functional area in which support is being provided and outstanding written and oral communication skills. Must be able to anticipate support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for meeting those needs. This position requires broad knowledge of Government reinvention strategies and familiarity with the principles and practices of emergency management preparedness planning and operations.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
