PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
CHEMICAL, PETROCHEMICAL, REFINERY & PHARMACEUTICAL RECRUITERS
This position will identify opportunities for improvement in the operation of the plant and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate and conduct scale-up runs on new and modified products. Analyze plant operating data, identify variations from expected values, and recommend corrective actions. Resolve day-to-day operating problems in conjunction with operations personnel. Fully utilize Operational Excellence (OE) tools to identify COPQ and implement improvement projects. Lead and participate in root cause investigations. Identify opportunities to de-bottleneck the manufacturing process. Scope, implement and manage small capital projects. Participate in commissioning and start-up activities for large capital projects. Complete projects and studies to improve safety and environmental performance, improve product quality, increase capacity, improve reliability, reduce cost, and optimize overall plant performance.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have a degree in Chemical Engineering with 1+ years experience in a chemical production plant. Must possess demonstrated leadership abilities, be a team player, have the ability to maintain confidentiality, handle pressure situations effectively, lead by example and be an exceptional communicator. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in order to effectively interface with internal partners such as management, operators, and maintenance, as well as with external partners such as customers, contractors and vendors. Excellent planning and organizing skills.
