PRODUCTION/MAINTENANCE MANAGER

CHEMICAL, PETROCHEMICAL, REFINERY & PHARMACEUTICAL RECRUITERS

Person will supervise the 24/7 operations of the Compound production departments and related plant operations. In addition will also supervise the Maintenance Department and Maintenance Repair budget. Will communicate with plant personnel through accurate and thorough recording of shift activities, to assist other personnel in evaluating quality, process, maintenance, and personnel problems. Person will be responsible for the development and implementation of a Preventative Maintenance program to reduce machine downtime and repair costs. Position involves the supervision of 12 Production Operators, 4 Lead Operators, and 3 Maintenance Technicians.
REQUIREMENTS
A degree in Chemical Engineering preferred, others may be considered. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a lead role in a chemical manufacturing environment, coupled with a strong mechanical ability and problem solving skills. Needs to possess excellent supervisory and communication skills, and a willingness and ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities, sometimes involving stressful work environment. Definitely need someone promotable to Plant Manager within 2-3 years, so strong leadership skills essential.
