Shft: DaysJob Description:Ensures the efficient and reliable operation of the buildings and grounds by directly and indirectly supervising and managing all repairs and maintenance. Provides for maintenance of exterior spaces through coordination of landscape maintenance, pavement and concrete repair, and snow removal. Reviews new programs, services, and technology acquisitions in a multi-disciplinary fashion, to assess the engineering and construction implications associated with these activities. Responsible for overall preparation of the operating and capital budgets, these are prepared in a manner consistent with system-wide strategies and operational planning activities. Responsible for monitoring and reporting compliance with budget, productivity, and quality indicators. Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a system-wide CAFM system to support construction and maintenance activities.Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience within facilities maintenance or construction with at least three (3) years of significant management experience in a health care environment.Education/Licensure: A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in an engineering related field (an equivalent of education and/or experience will also be considered).Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must poses a strong knowledge of building systems with a thorough understanding of applicable building codes, regulations, guidelines and standards; a keen understanding of hospital and other general health care operations; excellent management skills; good computer understanding and skills; excellent communications skills; strong change management skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of commitment, motivation and energy; team orientation; professionalism; trust; personal honesty and integrity; and a demonstration of placing others in a place of high value and treating them with dignity and respect.
