Nurse Supervisor / Facility Supervisor - 2nd Shift
HealthBridge Management has 15 locations in Massachusetts offering Long Term Care, Neuro-rehabilitation, Sub-Acute Services, Alzheimer/Dementia Programs and Behavioral Health.
HealthBridge is currently seeking a Nurse Supervisor for our New Bedford, Massachusetts facility, a 154-bed skilled nursing facility. New Bedford Health Care Center is a 154 bed skilled nursing facility located in the quiet suburbs. Our employees enjoy plenty of free parking and excellent working conditions. Our patients enjoy air conditioned semi-private and private accommodations. All rooms are equipped with private bathrooms and plenty of space to administer care. We offer employees a variety of nursing experiences to match their skill level ranging from wound care and specialty dressings, orthopedic care and rehab, diabetic management and teaching, specialty beds, restorative nursing, I.V. management, pain management, CAD Pumps and hospice care.
We are currently in the process of bringing to the facility a new concept in patient care called Telemedicine. Telemedicine is a system of delivering care at the bedside through the use of video conferencing. This new technology gives the nurse instant access to a physician and allows us to address acute patient needs immediately without having to wait for a doctor to return our call. We are the first skilled nursing facility in the country to incorporate this new medical model. Employees are provided with additional education to meet this exciting new patient/medical concept and are offered personalized orientation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will assist Director of Nursing Services in all of the following functions:
Nursing Care
Staff Development
Care Plan and Assessment
Resident Rights
Safety and Sanitation
Administrative
Committee
Personnel
Equipment and Supply
Budget and Planning
Your activities in these functions should always set the example, focusing on quality of care, compassion, professionalism and consistency.
Ensure that all nursing staff complies with procedures and regulations.
Reviewing documentation of treatments, charts and patient’s treatment plans.
Making daily rounds in nursing departments to ensure that all staff is performing as expected.
Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that treatment orders are followed.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active Massachusetts state license to practice as an RN or LPN.
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
Be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, personnel and the general public.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
