Shft: DaysJob Description:Alerts Specialist, Medical Staff Services and/or Operations Leader, Medical Staff Services of potential risk or conflict issues that may arise from meetings, credentialing, or other various processes.Assists and coordinates with the Specialist, Medical Staff Services and/or Operations Leader, Medical Staff Services to improve Medical Staff Office processes to ensure maximum efficiency of performance.Coordinates the flow of information between the Medical Staff departments and the Medical Executive Committee and ensures completion of feedback to Departments and Committees.Interacts and coordinates Medical Staff information with the Quality Management personnel.Acts as liaison between the Chief of Staff/President, Department Chairmen, Service Line Chairmen, Medical Staff members, and hospital personnel. This function requires utmost judgment to ensure the proper flow of information while maintaining the confidentiality required in all Medical Staff issues.Education/Licensure
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in business or health related field is required. An equivalent of education and/or experience will also be considered.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to identify areas of improvement to enhance the overall productivity and efficiency of the Medical Staff Office, flexibility to adapt to continuous changes in priorities and ability to perform under stressful situations and daily deadlines. Ability to type 60 wpm. Ability to take minutes at meetings either through shorthand, speed writing or transcription. Job requires continuous reading skills, verbal communication skills, and written communication skills. Knowledge of computer programs such as WordPerfect, Lotus, Excel, Microsoft Access, GroupWise preferred.
