Mechanical Technician III #91A

Specific Duties:

Aid team leaders and other technicians in problem identification and the design / assembly of prototype foam cup production machinery.

Ability to assemble and disassemble production machinery.

Assist in design layout of production machinery on the CAD system.

Perform machine trial production tests, with or without supervision, to gain understanding of production capabilities.

Assist other technicians on general maintenance of production machinery.

Aid installation of new production equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements and Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Must have at least 3 years of hands-on mechanical technical experience; including machine assembly, maintenance, welding, and the ability to read blue prints.

Strong math skills, including the use algebra. Trigonometry or statistics experience preferred.

Proficiency with hand tools, powered and manual; ability to use basic machine shop tools such as drill press, end mill, lathe.

Ability to use Word, Excel and Lotus Notes for documentation of testing and experimental data. CAD experience preferred.

Strong problem solving skills and ability to analyze data in a fast paced environment.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Possess teamwork orientation.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize the duties of one’s own day.

Must be able to climb ladders, bend, stoop, crouch, lift, and crawl in a production environment.

Regular attendance required.

Ability to obtain a forklift license.

Must be able to travel approximately 5%.
