Mechanic - Gordonsville VA

Perform all tractor and trailer repair estimation diagnosis and correction following standard operating procedures (SOP's). Completes routine rebuilds and replacements, makes best value and safety decisions to continue to operate, repair or replace, and performs technical repairs and/or replacement. Uses American Trucking Association (ATA) system and other published and internet-based manuals and check sheets.EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1.Technical or advanced degree, certificate or diploma in diesel engines, electronics, and/or related systems or equivalent amount of experience.2.Exposure to windows based computer systems, preferred.3.Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.4.Successfully demonstrated problem solving skills.5.Examples of teamwork and customer service skills, including good oral and written communication skills.6.Successfully demonstrated welding skills in non-standard situations and on varying materials.7.Provides own basic hand tools. (Other required tools will be covered by the Shop Manager or Shop Supervisor.)8. Reefer experience preferred, not required.Job Requirements
