Manager Plant Engineering & Maintenance

Company: North America Mining Job Function: Installation, Maintenance And RepairJob Description:Major Responsibilities:Direct the engineering and maintenance of the plant's equipment and facility, MRO parts and storeroom, capital expenditures, and environmental functions. Ensure that unplanned downtime of production and support equipment is minimal. Support the Company's Zero and Beyond goals.
1) Bachelor degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equiivalent experience of 10 years in manufacturing plant engineering management. 2) Familiarity with environmental regulations in a manufacturing environment. 3) Excellent communication skills. 4) Excellent project management and leadership skills required. 5) Computer expertise with Microsoft Office Suite. 6) Knowledge and application of lean manufacturing and six-sigma tools.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a unionized environment.Criteria/Conditions (specific background and skills):Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, reach, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see.~cb~
