Manager/Director Facilities

One of the fastest growing and most innovative organizations in South Florida has a position available at its corporate office for a highly motivated, experienced Facilities Manager or Director for their Management & Space Planning group.

This position can be filled as either a Manager or Director depending upon the final applicant’s background, skills and level of experience. This position is responsible for providing space planning, furniture and move management services and refurbishment project management services.

In this position you will review, analyze and develop both short and long-term plans to effectively manage and utilize all facility space allocation and design. You will liaison with internal client departments and outside contractors, utilize CAD for space planning, develop stacking and blocking plans, and maintain staff occupancy/vacancy counts. You will also manage building maintenance, security, mailroom operations, and copy center operations.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelors’ degree in construction or business management or a related field with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience at a management level.
Must have working knowledge of construction, furniture selection and purchasing, building systems, computer aided drafting system (AutoCAD) and project plan development. Computer literacy is essential, primarily with word processing, spreadsheet, CAD/CAE and project management software.
Superior communication and problem solving skills are essential.
Must also have the ability to handle multiple projects and work in a fast paced environment.
Certification or accreditation as a Facility Manager is desired.
