Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Department: Maintenance
Location: Bayport Plant

Principal Responsibilities:

Initiate and assist in engineering and installation of projects and improvements within the Maintenance Department with the objective of continuously improving reliability and strengthening our safety and loss control performance.
Initiate and safely execute programs to improve plant operations, including analyzing alternative solutions to plant problems.
Provide technical support for planning and executing projects.
Assist operations in troubleshooting mechanical problems.
Assist in determining the necessary inventory of spare parts.
Assist in maintaining the equipment file room documentation accurate and current.
Handle inspection record keeping and coordination in the absence of the inspector.
Coordinate and follow mechanical repairs involving the use of outside vendors.
Assist the Training Group by providing mechanical training to new operator technicians.
Understand, support and comply with all plant safety policies and procedures including the use of loss control software for loss control reporting and communication.
REQUIREMENTS
B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required (other technical degrees will be considered depending upon the experience level of the individual).
Experience in a plant environment preferred.
Computer proficient (MS Office, MS Project, SAP)
Excellent verbal/written communication
Ability to manage multiple issues/projects simultaneously
