MRO Plant Operations Program Manager - Belvidere

Our client has immediate openings for an On-Site MRO (Maintenance & Repair) Operations Manager in the Belvidere, ILlinios area. This is a long-term position based at a multi-plant automotive manufacturing plant where our client is contracted to manage all MRO and non-production activities. The position reports to the Operations Director and is responsible for implementing and executing operational strategies regarding the plants’ non-production inventory supply management. The Operations Manager will coordinate the work of existing on-site team members while also contributing the candidate’s own vision and leadership, which comes from 5-10 years of non-production supply, shop floor and crib management experience, preferably within an automotive manufacturing environment.
REQUIREMENTS
·Implement MRO team recommendations and execute operational tactics to assure efficient non-production supply chain practices
·Serve as a liaison between the firms’ consultants, plant stakeholders and other on-site supplier personnel
·Applies expertise of best practices and relationship management skills in every situation
·Proactively resolves MRO operational problems to ensure maximum efficiency, minimum costs and prevent supply shortages or operational delays
·Insures efficient deployment and management of non-production commodities and categories
·Oversees implementation of the MRO solution, which hinges on the design and deployment of non-production materials management processes, procedures and systems; responsible for material usage reports.
·7 to 10 years of shop floor management experience within a Tier 1 Auto Supplier or Major Auto Manufacturing environment
·A customer oriented problem-solving professional with excellent communication skills
·Solid understanding of MRO and non-production supply management activities
·Bachelor Degree required COMPENSATION AND RELOCATION
