MIANTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
Purpose: COMPANY INFORMATION: The client manufactures, packages and markets, engineered flow control solutions for specific niche applications in the Power generation and Hydrocarbon processing industries.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Maintain plant electrical systems, machinery, repair as needed to support production and business function requirements
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Machinery Maintenance - Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems in machinery and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical equipment, power panels and air conditioners. Repair C.N.C. machinery, electronic equipment and other mechanical repairs.
Facilities Maintenance - Install upgrades on new machinery/equipment in shop and office areas. Perform PM/change out on lighting, heating and air conditioning. Install signaling circuits for computers and signaling equipment.
Safety - Demonstrate safe work habits including use of safety equipment, lockout/tagout procedures, proper use of personal protective equipment, appropriate use of parts handling equipment and methods, correct disposal of waste and notification of hazardous conditions to the your supervisor.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Problem Identification - Identify problems affecting the efficient use of electrical equipment and performance of your electrical maintenance duties, notify the appropriate personnel and participate in problem solving as requested. Participate in the cost reduction process to find and eliminate unnecessary costs.
Production - Wire, set, test and repair electric motor operated valves as needed to support production requirements. Perform productions tasks such as assembling, testing, painting, boxing and shipping as trained if needed.
Emergency response and facility monitoring - Support emergency response activities such as fire suppression team, hazardous material spill clean-up as directed by supervisor. Perform inspections and monitor plant facilities as directed by supervisor to comply with company and government regulations.
Documentation - Fully and accurately complete all required departmental documentation.
Support Maintenance, Manufacturing - Perform other tasks as assigned to support maintenance and production. May include, but not limited to, maintenance of compressors, oil house, upkeep of maintenance crib and remote storage.
Housekeeping - Participate in 5S programs along with other employees to keep areas within the plant clean. Keep work area clean and organized, leave all machinery and areas worked clean. Keep the maintenance area swept and organized. Return all tools and unused materials to proper places.
Participate in TPM events aimed at improving machine performance and reducing downtime.

Maintains good working relationship with Manufacturing.
Maintains good working relationships and close liaison with all members of management representing Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Human Resources, etc.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read, speak and write English.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to interpret, work to and draw complex electrical schematics.
Ability to perform electrical installations / repairs per above requirements.
Technical training in electrical theory. Working knowledge of electrical formulas and the National Electric Code.
