Founder and CEO/President Dan Brettler opened Car Toys' doors back in 1987 in Bellevue, Washington. It was an instant success in delivering premier mobile electronic products and service that rose above the rest. Word caught on and additional stores soon began popping up all over the Puget Sound area, and a few years later, across the nation. Today, Car Toys employs over 1,200 dedicated professionals in 52 locations throughout Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Texas.
MISSION & SCOPE:
Installers are responsible for creating a superior customer experience every time by
Ensuring every customer interaction is professional and every installation performed meets or exceed the minimum install standards.
Meeting or exceeding all installation customer service and performance minimum standards.
Actively establishing working relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
Providing both CSEs and customer expertise in product knowledge and installation skills.
Demonstrating the Company Guiding Principles in all interactions with Company customers and other employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Customer Service
a.Provides superior, professional customer service in all dealings with customers and potential customers, both on the phone and in-person.
b.Performs all required RTAs and honor our clean car guarantee with every car.
c.Willingly shares in no-charge labor and assists Customer Service Experts in sales whenever possible.
d.Builds long-term repeat relationships with customers through personal integrity, installation and product expertise.
e.Damage and returns must not exceed maximum allowable levels.
2.Financial Performance
a.Achieves personal labor production goals.
b.Meets or exceeds all Company minimum install and performance standards while complying with all related policies, procedures and methods.
3.Communication
a.While at work, speaks and acts in a professional manner at all times.
b.Participates in problem-solving and finding solutions to work issues.
c.Refuses to participate in gossip.
d.Will read trade publications and other install-related communications and utilizes newest information in problem-solving.
4.Marketing, Merchandising and Housekeeping
a.Maintains assigned area of responsibility to standards, ensuring all products are on display in accordance with the current board plan.
b.Ensures that displays all work properly and demonstrate products at maximum effectiveness level.
c.Keeps installation bench clean and organized at all times and sweeps floor regularly throughout the day.
d.Assists in store maintenance projects as assigned.
5.Operations
a.Completes detail sheets and other installation paperwork timely and accurately.
b.Schedules job correctly and quotes accurate labor rates when assistance is requested.
c.Checks in and out of work daily, using eTime records and correctly follows eTime procedures.
d.Installers are directly responsible for recording their time worked accurately.
e.Assists in loss prevention through awareness, attention to detail and integrity. Honors the Integrity Commitment.
f.Compiles with all operational policies including those pertaining to discounting.
6.Self Development
a.Attends all scheduled training meetings, both in-store and company-wide.
b.Personally completes all appropriate training and testing opportunities, including attainment of the MECP 1st Class Certification, timely.
c.Incorporates principles and skills learned into daily work life.
d.Continues to develop installation skills and product knowledge by working in tandem with the Install Manager or assigned mentor and by utilizing professional guides, such as Michelin.
DIMENSIONS:
This position does not have supervisory or budgetary authority.
This position is responsible for executing pertinent group and departmental Key Metrics.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and coworkers, internal and external customers. Must demonstrate effective teamwork with other store employees and with other Company employees.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior successful installation experience and car stereo product knowledge
Current valid drivers’ license and a good driving record
Dependability
Demonstrated customer orientation
Willingness to learn and accept change
Willingness to follow Company policies and procedures.
