REQUIREMENTS
This hourly position reports to the Facilities Manager. It is full time (40 hours per week) and includes benefits.

Principal Purpose of Position:
To assist in accomplishing the goals and objectives of this museum through assigned duties in housekeeping and participating in achieving the overall goals of this museum by presenting a well-maintained and attractive display site.

Principal Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Greet all museum guests, employees, and volunteers in a friendly and professional manner with a willingness to help.
2.Maintain assigned areas by cleaning, sweeping, dusting, mopping, waxing, scrubbing or vacuuming per established facility cleaning schedule.
3.Stock restrooms and mix cleaning chemicals to specification.
4.Responsible for supply inventory of your assigned area.
5.Maintain the equipment used in your assigned area.
6.Empty all waste containers and dispose of all waste in the proper receptacles.
7.Monitor the overall appearance of the areas in your assignments.
8.Dust and maintain assigned display areas.
9.Act on request from supervisory personnel to assume a duty and follow through.
10.Other duties as assigned

Skills/Educational Requirements:
1.Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
2.Tolerance for cleaning chemical fumes and dust
3.Ability to reach overhead for extended periods
4.Ability to bend, lift, push, and pull as needed
5.Ability to operate and maintain janitorial equipment
6.Ability to maintain work schedule
7.Ability to discern cleanliness aesthetic
