They have an immediate need for an HVAC and an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join their growing New York City office. The successful candidate must be able to provide both design and field Commissioning support with the emphasis on field Commissioning experience.

Responsibilities: Prepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings and specifications. Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects. Assist in the development of commissioning plans, preparation of commissioning specifications and basis of design documents, design and submittal reviews, functional testing and verification of equipment / systems in the field, and the HVAC and/or electrical documentation processes and development of procedures related to commissioning activities. Other responsibilities include attending meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projects.
Requirements: The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program; have 5 or more years experience with either a consulting engineering firm commissioning building HVAC and/or electrical systems or a commissioning firm. A Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) a plus. In depth knowledge of general building construction and HVAC and/or electrical controls is essential. Experience or familiarity with commissioning requirements of LEED is a plus. The candidate will have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering code compliance requirements and industry standards; possess strong oral and written communication skills and can work with CAD.
