General Manager

The Budd Group is a 40 year old family owned company out of Winston Salem, NC. We value our over 3,000 employees and strive for excellence in our industry. We are now looking to expand in our Greensboro regional office with the hire of a General Manager.The responsibilities include :*prepares quarterly and annual projections in conjunctions with internal staff and the executive management group.*performs business development activities as needed to achieve the plan.*develops and maintains a high level of name awareness through public relations activities, recruiting and client development*manages all financial aspects of the market operations to ensure that that quarterly and annual budget goals are meet: GM$, GM%, client base, development of major accounts, mix of business, and controlling branch expenses (direct and non direct cost of sales).* Assure that the operation is properly staffed and developed, whether the sales or operations staff report directly or indirectly to the GM.* responsible for ensuring cooperation and support with other locations, divisions, as well corporate office.* manage the activities of the operation to ensure that the company’s operational systems are in place and that each member has had the adequate training and is in compliance with systems and processes established.
REQUIREMENTS
Two + years of full time management experience supervising 1st level managers.Five + years of full time business experience with four years of full time business management experience.
Proven track record demonstrated by growth in terms of increased job responsibilities.
Candidate will have no less than an average of 2.5 years in each of the positions they have had previously.
Candidate must have 2 + years successful direct sales experience, and 2+ years supervising an outside sales function.
Knowledge of P&L management to include revenue oversight and SG&A oversight.Thorough knowledge of business to business service industry and components of delivery sales and service in a “commodity” type environment.
