GENERAL SERVICES MANAGER

This position has the overall responsibility of planning, directing and controlling all general services activities regarding Facilities Planning & Development, Plant Operations & Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security and Purchasing.

Overall responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
* Planning and controlling all activities of facilities planning and development
* Directing and managing all facets of facilities general operations including security, housekeeping, space planning, maintenance and purchasing
* Maintaining complete and accurate inventory control records of corporate facilities-related equipment and supplies (capital and minor).
* Insuring adequate safekeeping measures are established to protect the corporation (personnel and assets) from loss and liability issues.
* Insuring that the facilities and clinical equipment are maintained according to corporate standards and local and federal regulations.
* Monitoring and enforcing contract compliance with contracted general services vendors.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a Bachelors degree. Ten years experience in facilities management, of which five years must have been in a health care environment.
At least five years of progressively responsible management experience.
PC network systems knowledge and experience; knowledge of computerized preventive operations and maintenance tracking system required.
Certification for floor and carpet care. HVAC certification preferred. Building engineer certification helpful.
Valid Maryland drivers license and reliable transportation required
for travel to company sites.
Evening and weekend work required.
