Facilities Zone CoordinatorSummary Description: Leads Facilities Maintenance Technicians and outside services to successfully execute repairs to Whataburger facilities, it’s building components and contents in the assigned zone. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the zone. Works within all Facilities Services guidelines as established by Supply & Services. Properly maintains all equipment in Whataburger facilities including cooking equipment, HVAC & refrigeration equipment, electronic equipment and building components with a staff that includes equipment technicians, an electronic technician, cosmetic technician and a project technician.Facilities Zone Coordinator RESPONSIBILITIES: (Identify the major functions/tasks performed in the job.)Weekly:
•Promotes and protects the Whataburger Brand.•Maintains a constant sense of urgency (24/7) to support the operations of the Whataburger business and to keep the facilities up to the Five Points of Focus standards.
•Assists Regional Facilities Manager in coordinating projects and special projects affecting facilities or equipment in Whataburger facilities.
•Keeps management advised of status of repairs, special projects and their implementation schedules, and zone facilities productivity and efficiencies as contributors to profit.
•Provides on-going feedback on technician and contractor performance to Regional Facilities Manager based upon ability to meet repair needs.
•Assists in implementing programs associated with developing and motivating staff to accomplish established objectives.•Educates Family Members of operation procedures and requirements for working safely in and around the building & grounds.
•Assumes additional responsibilities, as assigned.
Monthly:
•Works with the Regional Facilities Manager to ensure all service requests are successfully executed and work orders are properly closed according to set departmental goals and customer service agreement.•Develops the knowledge to manage and reduce costs associated with facility repairs by proactively planning and organizing repair lists to control travel times and distances, proper assignment of service requests to competent repair technicians and outside services.
•Implements and coordinates program changes in accordance with and procedures to improve productivity, customer service and profitability.2. •Responsible for daily and weekly reporting using current technology to help meet departmental goals, guidelines and procedures.•Responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and reliable operating systems in Whataburger restaurants.
•Responsible for the overall management of Technicians in the assigned zone(s).
•Keeps Regional Zone Manager apprised of any outstanding issues concerning the Company’s buildings and grounds.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS: (Describe the typical minimum requirements to perform the job.)Education (Indicate the minimum formal education the job requires.)
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•College hours in technical-related courses preferred.Experience (Indicate the minimum experience the job requires.)
•Minimum five (5) years field experience in field service maintenance.
•Minimum three (3) years experience in a supervisory role.
•Demonstrated knowledge of city/state guidelines pertaining to replacing major equipment, Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines, and all related regulations requiring code enforcement.
•Sound working knowledge of computer programs, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Excellent organizational skills, ability to handled multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
•Valid driver’s license required, liability insurance, acceptable driving record and a satisfactory background check required.•Proven ability to work with all levels within the organization.
•Proven ability as a team player with strong work ethic.
