Job Overview:

Candidates will oversee the design and construction of campus areas using existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure. He or she should possess a high level of communications and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of management, up to the senior management level.
REQUIREMENTS
Key Requirements:

Candidates should posses a broad knowledge of facilities requirements in order to effectively assign a specific space to various functional groups in a multi-building campus
Possess thorough knowledge of HVAC and electrical engineering
Knowledge in EH&S and building regulatory/code requirements
Possesses skills to plan, propose, and manage Facilities projects, manage financial affairs as well as schedules

Candidate must also possesses advanced Facilities Project Management skills including:

Develops specifications
Prepares proposal documents
Generates bid lists & Conducts competitive bid process
Evaluates proposals
Manages construction project including contracts
Manages “As Built” drawings and documentations
Consults and maintains liaisons with vendors, contractors, architects, and engineers; obtains bids from same
Maintains guidelines and standards for space, construction projects, equipment and operation
Forecasts material and services needs and approves requisitions
Prepares and analyzes various operational reports, effects operational efficiencies
Administers contracts for all building/Facilities equipment services
Manage, coach, and train employees

Education:

BA/BS in Architectural Engineering or Industrial Engineering with 10 years experience, MS in Architectural Engineering or Industrial Engineering with 5 years experience or equivalent industry experience.
