Facilities Engineering Manager

LB&B Associates Inc. is a privately held company with 13 years of successful history providing a wide range of services from Operations & Maintenance of military bases and government facilities to the refueling of aircraft.

We are currently seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager to join a team of highly motivated professionals on our long-term contract to provide Facilities Engineering and Maintenance at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) located in Baltimore, MD. The LB&B team is responsible for maintaining a world-class working environment for the employees of this National HQ Facility.

This is a leadership position that requires a hands-on approach to exceeding customer needs. This position requires the incumbent to perform a wide range of engineering duties, produce a work product that is characterized by a high degree of engineering skill, and demonstrate active involvement in the operations and maintenance of the facility. Specifically, s/he will be responsible for the following facility engineering activities:

•Develop and implement solutions to mechanical and electrical engineering problems.
•Manage multiple engineering projects from conception to completion.
•Serve as the primary technical resource to central plant operating personnel.
•Serve as the primary technical liaison to our customer on facility engineering issues.
•Serve as the primary manager for contracted services.

Professional qualifications include a BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and minimum 8 years of demonstrable record of achievement with progressively increasing responsibilities in facilities engineering assignments. Registration as a Professional Engineer would be a plus.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Engineering Project Management, HVAC Systems, Building Automation Systems, Life Safety Systems, Utility Services, Electrical Power Distribution, Plumbing and Facility Maintenance Management.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on self starter who enjoys the challenges of daily involvement with an operating and maintenance team. The ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization is essential.
