FACILITIES TECHNICIAN

FACILITIES TECHNICIANAppTec offers comprehensive testing, contract research and development and cGMP manufacturing services for biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, cellular therapeutics and tissue-based products from a unique single-source platform. Our Philadelphia site is located in a new facility at the Philadelphia Navy Yard Business Center.You will identify problems and as appropriate recommend repairs, overhaul, replace, calibrate, and / or upgrade a wide variety of mechanical, electrical and electronic components for laboratory, manufacturing, and typical facility equipment. You will also perform general repairs such as carpentry, dry wall finishing, painting, carpet, floor and ceiling tile work. You will follow SOPs and keep records of maintenance according to guidelines and SOPs.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidate will have a HS diploma plus 1 year more relevant trade school or hands on experience or equivalent training and/or experience.
Proficiency in one or more of the trades:i.e. mechanical, electrical, HVAC/R, plumbing, hot work (welding, brazing, soldering), rigging, powerhouse – steam generation and chiller utilization is required. Good computer and mechanical skills with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds required. Relevant certifications (i.e. EPA Universal, HVAC/R) desired. Must possess computer skills in MS Office applications, primarily Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.Relevant State or City licenses (Philadelphia Class “A” License and Contractor license) and/or knowledge of cGMPs and GLPs preferred.
