Our client is seeking a top notch Executive Assistant to support the Chairman and CEO., with 20 years as chief/senior level executive for privately owned, NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange companies. Prior to this position he was Vice Chairman, Chairmain and CEO of Two revloutionary technology firms presently billion dollar companies. He is a Graduate of the Executive Program for Growing Companies, Stanford University Graduate School of Business and holds B.S. in Engineering & Applied Science from Caltech (the California Institute of Technology).and CEO. Since 2004, Our Client has been in the business of developing renewable biofuels. Due to instability in the Middle East and rapid rising Asian demand for oil has been soaring. This has caused a corresponding rapid growth in the US and in the World for renewable fuels. The biofuel industry has been growing faster than 20% per year for the past 5 years. Today, renewable fuels are profitable and increasingly cost competitive with fossil fuels. In the summer of 2005, in the face of $60+ per barrel oil prices, the US Congress passed a sweeping Energy Bill that provided sizeable mandates to adopt renewable fuels. Altra will be capitalizing on this opportunity.
Duties and responsibilities include: Create and prepare correspondence for chairman, dictation, editing and revision of correspondence of chairman (shorthand/fast notes 70wpm+), recording, preparing, distributing, and tracking of meeting notes, tracking and follow through of action items for chairman's meetings and direct reports, preparation of communication for chairman including letters, notes, and e-mails to the field, answer phones and take detailed messages, place calls on behalf of chairman, serve as liaison for chairman with executive department and executive committee, research special topics and projects for chairman on Internet, etc., maintain files for chairman and department, daily meetings with chairman to debrief mail and meetings, coordinate special events planning with house staff, serve as chairman's representative to business associates, consultants and company personnel, review all incoming correspondence and e-mails, handling of personal affairs as needed, authorize invoice payments for chairman and department, tracking of controllable department expenses as needed and make decisions on chairman's behalf. Job requires a Bachelor's degree (preferred), five years experience in a corporate environment as executive support person for top level executive. Microsoft Word and Internet search engines required, knowledge of other computer applications including Access, Excel, and Power Point and knowledge of computerized calendar program (Lotus Organizer a plus), and e-mail system.
REQUIREMENTS
Job requires a Bachelor's degree (preferred), five years experience in a corporate environment as executive support person for top level executive. Microsoft Word and Internet search engines required, knowledge of other computer applications including Access, Excel, and Power Point and knowledge of computerized calendar program (Lotus Organizer a plus), and e-mail system.
