Equipment Service Technician

This posting represents 2 open positions.Responsibilities:
Support production members in achieving the line’s run rate targets. Support weekend and plant shutdown activities. Walk through assigned line, checking for abnormal machine situations. Document all equipment related daily activities into Equipac system. Complete and distribute trouble reports. Track and communicate downtime. Assist other lines as needed. Involve production members with troubleshooting during down time. Suggest and implement approved ideas that reduce potential for repeat downtime.Daily Tasks:
Repairs and countermeasures equipment failures. Follow safe work practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Respond immediately to emergency downtime. Document all equipment related activities.Experience:
Minimum of three to five year's of maintenance experience, preferably in a casting or foundry environment.Knowledge:
Advanced electrical knowledge (up to 480VAC). Understanding of how to apply electrical skills to PLC’s, CNC’s, Robots, Servo Systems, Electrical Systems, as well as mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair skills to these machine components.Required Skills:
Able to repair and troubleshoot PLC’s, CNC’s, robotics, servo systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, lubrication systems, gas trains and mechanical problems.
Able to interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulic prints.
Proficient with laptop computers.
Able to communicate clearly in verbal and written format.
Able to analyze problems and determine the root cause.
Able to solve routine problems with little or no supervision.
Demonstrate effective time management skills.
Able to work 2nd shift long term.
Able to work overtime on weekends, holidays and shutdowns as needed.Desired Skills:
Able to work well in a team atmosphere.Degree:
Two-year electrical degree is a plus.
