Entry Level Facilities Purchasing and Maintenance Coordinator
We are looking for a Entry Level Facilities Purchasing and Maintenance Coordinator to join the Garden Ridge team in our Houston, Texas corporate office!
The Facilities Purchasing and Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for establishing specifications and standards in purchasing and maintenance requests, ensuring the company receives competitive pricing in all areas of equipment, supply purchasing, and maintenance contracts. This position is also responsible for maintaining and executing the annual re-bidding process of selected vendors to optimize cost savings. The Coordinator also manages the process for purchasing and maintenance functions including requisitions, request for quotes, specification bud programs, awarding bids/contracts, work orders, issuing PO’s, expediting, receipt processing and invoicing. Additionally the Coordinator will track and meet all budgets, coordinate the functions of corporate services and assist other department associates when possible.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 2 years coordinating experience in related fields of purchasing, maintenance, or central office management, Candidates must have demonstrated success with vendor negotiations, strong communication and organization skills. Technical skills required include MS Excel, Word, Outlook and purchasing or maintenance software applications.
