Director of Technical Services

Purpose: Director of Technical Services - Energy Services Company

A very small, rapidly growing Los Angeles based Energy Services Company, specializing in emerging technologies is looking for a Director of Technical Services. We seek a highly experienced engineering and energy services professional to take control over all technical services operations to help take our company to the next level of development. We outsource and manage the facility audit process and are developing a national network of engineers and contractors for turnkey completion of projects.

The Role of the Director of Technical Services:
Person will be a hands-on, highly skilled energy and engineering generalist with a balance between analytical and report writing tasks and engineering fieldwork, a strong working knowledge of electrical/HVACR/lighting systems, commercial/industrial building controls and automation, the broad range of existing and cutting edge energy efficiency technologies, and process development.

Note: Facility management and contractor background are useful credentials.

For new technologies that may be included in the company technology menu, person would evaluate new products, and work with product manufacturers to develop technical materials, installation instructions, and catalogs for company use.
Key tasks required of the technical services arm of EIG are:
-Developing process and technical support materials
-Building and managing national technical staff and outsourced engineers and contractors
-Managing the completion of facility audits, feasibility studies and reports
-Designing and managing energy retrofit and upgrade strategies for buildings
-Controlling project development, installations, M&V, commissioning and retro-commissioning

The Compensation Package
Starting salary for person with strong credentials to perform the noted tasks will be up to $150,000 with lucrative added profit participation structure.
