DNS Field Installation Support Technician

To add to our team of talented people, we are currently seeking a DNS Field Installation Support Technician within our Dish Network Services Department.
The responsibilities of this role include:
Responsible for engineering data collection, field troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for the Dish Network system down to module/component level.
Specifically, duties include (but are not limited to):
Assits in the planning, development, design, and implementation of field testing procedures to identify root cause equipment failures.
Provides interface between field entities and the corporate Field Installation Support team.
Ensures that accurate and sufficient data is available for the evaluation of product reliability, installation processes, DNS field, Subcontractors and Regional Service Providers (RSP) operations, and implementation trends.
Provide input to management on structural equipment, mechanical equipment, and tools prior to introduction to field entities.
The daily duties include but are not limited to traveling to installation or trouble call job sites to diagnose reported issues that are related to delivery of our product to the customer, discovery of issues with either installation practices or the satellite equipment will be well documented and replication of the reported issues will be necessary.

job Requirements
Minimum qualifications to be considered are:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven knowledge of radio frequency, electronic, and satellite signal theory.
Working knowledge of satellite installation standards and practices. Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC). Working knowledge of specialized electronic testing equipment to include, but not limited to Spectrum Analyzer, TDR, OTDR, Signal Meter, and Volt/Ohm meter.
Ability to evaluate an operational satellite system, identify problems, find root causes, and suggest design changes. Ability to read, analyze and interpret engingeering and technical periodicals, and government policy. Able to write reports, correspondence, or procedure manuals, and present information and respond to questions from managers/customers/general public.
Field Service Specialist (FSS) 3 or equivalent experience; Federal Communications Commission General Radiotelephone Operators License (GROL); Appropriate State and Local Licensing as required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and climb ladders. The employee is occasionally required to lift 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
This position works in both a standard office environment and outside in multiple climates.
