Manages plans, directs and coordinates the operational systems for Hospitality Services including human resources, financial performance, customer service, operational and quality performance, training/education and overall department functions. The Director, Environmental Services is a key leadership position which supports safe, quality patient care thought the oversight, management and direction of the Environmental Services Department. Manages, plans, and directs the operations of the Environmental Services Department, including human resources, financial performance, customer service, quality outcomes, training/education of staff, and overall department functions. Works in collaboration with the Administrative Director, Epidemiology regarding cleaning and practice standards. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: Experience/Specialized Skills: Minimum five years experience in management/supervision in an acute care hospital or other healthcare setting with an emphasis in hotel and guest services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complex problem solving, team development, strategic planning and systems planning/development. Understanding of the fundamentals of information systems and knowledge of computer work processing and spreadsheets. Proficiency in JCAHO, Title XXII and other applicable regulatory requirements with ability to translate into practice.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training: B.S. preferred or a combination of training and minimum of eight years of comparable experience in a similar function.
Required Certification/Registration: Current licensure and/or registration as appropriate. Certification in specialty area.
