Vice President of Patient Services

VICE PRESIDENT OF PATIENT SERVICES

Once in this highly visible position, the selected candidates will be accountable for all administration, planning and management of the Division of Patient Services, encompassing Emergency Service, long-term care, inpatient rehab, Ambulance Services and Surgical Services (Anesthesia) physicians, nursing staff and allied health personnel. Primary focus will be on optimizing resources, developing hospital-wide patient care programs and standards to maintain patient care continuity and communication among departments and staff, furthering Quality Improvement initiatives and ensuring federal/state/local regulatory compliance. Other key functions include working closely with senior management and the governing board on organizational decision-making, promoting staff professional development, and ensuring fiscal management of Patient Service Division departments. This position reports to the President and CEO.

Candidates must have significant (10+ years) experience that includes nursing administration and management; a Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare or business administration. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is preferred. Knowledge of federal/state/OBA regulations for long-term rehabilitative and acute hospital care as well as Medicare/Medicaid is essential. Just as important is sound judgment, initiative, effective decision-making and communication abilities and a real commitment to ensuring the highest standards of patient care and staff development.
