TITLE: Vice President of Merchandising
SALARY: $160k
REPORTS TO:President
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in creating the strategic direction and transitions the culture and resources to promote the strategic direction of the organization.
Oversees the entire merchandise planning process while aligning the merchandise mix with the voice of the customer.
Oversees the management of merchandising to ensure the right product at the right time at the right price to meet customers needs while exceeding company revenue and profit objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 10-15 years of related Merchandising/inventory management experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:
Strong PC skills including the use of Excel
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with a wide variety of Company personnel and outside vendors.
Knowledge of woodworking hardware, tools and equipment preferred
Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills a must.
Knowledge of lean/six sigma.
