Job Description:
The Vice President of Strategy and Insights is a senior member of the CSM staff responsible for providing business consulting, consumer insights and planning assistance to designated business team (s) at CSM as well as for new business pitches and presentations, as assigned.
The Vice President of Strategy and Insights works with designated members of the staff in the Creative and Business (Account) areas to craft and deliver the Agency’s recommendations in promotion and integrated marketing, business strategy, concepts, brand development and other areas, as determined.
He or she is involved with annual planning for designated clients in the areas of analysis, consumer insights, strategy, creative and plan recommendations. He or she works with the Creative Director to shape the creative output and concepts. He or she collaborates with the Creative Director and the Business Director as a member of the 3 person senior team on key businesses on key decisions and direction. He or she is directly accountable for the business strategy which is the underpinning of all recommendations to clients.
The Vice President, Strategy and Insights, is responsible for delivering relevant and actionable insights and analysis to designated businesses and assignments. He or she works independently as well as with the Planning and Development Manager, support staff and outside resources as necessary, to fulfill this aspect of the job including accessing databases and secondary sources, working with consultants, conducting survey research, groups or other methods to develop insights.
Quantitative analysis and evaluation of programs or brand activity will be supervised by him/her, with support from the respective Business Director and business team and/or other resources as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Responsiblities:The Vice President of Strategy and Insights contributes regularly to the Agency’s ongoing trend and insight services as well as special presentations or special projects.The Vice President of Strategy and Insights will write and present recommendations internally and externally, attend relevant client meetings or pitches and overall assist with meeting the client’s business goals.The Vice President of Strategy and Insights will contribute to budgeting and management of relevant assignments.The Vice President of Strategy and Insights will work with department Director to continue to develop the agency and its staff in relevant areas.Candidates must have 10+ years experience.Significant agency experience a must, some client experience a big plus.Personal characteristics – excellent presenter, command attention, passionate, high credibility.
