Vice President Sales - General Manager

Vice President Sales – General Manager

Our client is seeking an individual to provide overall leadership to a few manufacturing facilities throughout the Northeast.
You will direct the overall activities of the Manufacturing Operations, Sales, Administration, Customer Service, HR and Logistics.
You will have full P&L responsibilities within the geographic region.
You will execute sales strategies, including growth of branded sales and market share. 70% of your time will be Sales and 30% overseeing the Operations. You will participate in the formulation and administering company policies and developing long range strategic goals and objectives. Review all costs and forecast data to determine progress towards stated goals and objectives.

You will manage the facilities to a high level of efficiency through quality standards, efficiencies and cross-coordination both within and outside the DC’s.
You will interact with high profile customers to understand their business needs and goals. You will look at continuous process improvements including reviewing all pricing strategies to improve profits and monitor overtime.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to qualify for this role you MUST have:

Strong P&L experience
You must have a proven track record of success in managing multiple manufacturing operations approx. 500 to 700 MM in sales
You must have a strong successful sales track record in driving sales which drove profits, reduced costs and improved quality as well as building/growing the business.
You must have strong leadership, coaching and communication skills to highly communicate with sr. executives and employees at all levels
You must be a strong leader who embraces change and brings new ideas and team builds to raise all operations to raise all manufacturing facilities to operational excellence.
Some additional skills required include: Data gathering and analysis, sales best practices, strong decision maker, problem identification and resolution, continuous process improvement, operation excellence, strategic and tactical planning.
The ability to work with local labor representation
Develop presentations to senior executives
Develop a high performance work environment
Ideal candidate will also have a bachelor's degree in business or industrial engineering with 15 + years progressive manufacturing and sales success
Experience within the Food, Beverage or consumer products industry is ESSENTIAL.
Financial cost analysis and operating systems background is required
